The inaugural Australian Rural Business Awards were held recently and we at Sea Horse Diamond Beach were very excited to achieve the status of Dual Finalists in;
- Micro Business Excellence Award category
- Positive Impact – Making A Difference category
AND then ……. were even more thrilled to hear Sea Horse Diamond Beach being called out having won the SILVER AWARD in the Positive Impact – Making A Difference category!

The Australian Rural Business Awards are the brainchild of Jenn Donovan – founder of the successful Spend With Us/Buy from a Bush Business Marketplace. Hosted by Jenn Donovan and Sarah Britz, the awards were announced online (thanks Covid!) on Friday 24th June . Guest speakers on the night were the always very interesting and thought provoking Jack Delosa from The Entourage and singer/songwriter Melinda Schneider.
Winning this award is a huge acknowledgement that our disability holiday accommodation property Seafarers Diamond Beach is absolutely making a positive impact in the lives of disabled people and their families. With its resort like wheelchair accessible features, accessible pool, pool hoist and guests beach wheelchair – it sets a new standard in accessible holiday accommodation.
The Australian Rural Business Awards are an initiative dedicated solely to celebrate rural and regional Australian small businesses – to acknowledge their achievements and celebrate and cheer them on. It was great to be involved (and of course a winner!) and a huge achievement for Jenn and Sarah in staging the event. Congratulations to all finalists and everyone involved in the event.
