Blackhead Community Markets
Held on the 1st Sunday of every month (winter excluded). They are renowned as one of the best on the mid north coast and are held under the trees in Wylie Breckenridge Park Black. They are friendly, varied and inclusive.
Blackhead Lagoon walk
Meander along the paved rainforest walk which follows the side of the lagoon.
Seascape Whale watching platforms
Enjoy some land based Humpback whale watching from purpose built viewing platforms at Redhead/Diamond Beach. Humpback Whale season is June to late November.
Amaroo Whale and Dolphin Watching Cruises
Humpback whale watching trips are available, June to late November. Dolphin Watching trips are all year round. Lake trips are all year round.
Free Spirit Cruises
Try the Free Spirit lunch cruise, which takes you on a 2.5-hour eco-cruise around the lake. You’ll have the chance to spot some dolphins in their natural habitat whilst enjoying a special lunch venue. There’s also a shorter coffee cruise option. Special group charters can also be arranged and include the Great Lakes Winery Cruise, Wallamba River Cruise and Pacific Palms Cruise.
Great Lakes Museum
Immerse yourself in the rich history of the Great Lakes. Located in Capel Street, Tuncurry.



Nabiac Farmers Markets
Held on the last Saturday of every month at the Nabiac Showground, 8–1pm. A delightful way to spend the morning, it’s the largest local produce and seedlings market in the Manning Valley. Meet friendly local growers, producers and artisans. Taste the organic coffee, enjoy some fresh made bakery items, stock up on your fresh produce.
Hallidays Point Library
For a huge variety of books, magazines and videos. An ideal venue for the regular local art gallery displays which are held monthly, featuring talented local artists and craftspeople.
Hallidays Point Tavern
Wheelchair friendly venue, with a great children’s play area and a very nice dining area both inside and out.
Blackhead Surf Club
Overlooking the beach of course, it is the venue for many varied community events. Breakfast on the Balcony, Sunday Sippers and Family Bingo Nights are held regularly.
Movies
Great Lakes Cinema movie theatre complex with 3 auditoriums and a candy bar, showing mainstream and art house films. Located in Manning Street, Tuncurry.
Forster Bowling Club
Newly designed entertainment centre located adjacent to the Club, which features accessible Ten Pin Bowling, Laser Skirmish and Arcade games area.
