So, what the heck’s a Doggy Day Pen you ask? …………..
The Doggy Day Pen is a unique feature of Sea Horse Diamond Beach dog friendly holiday accommodation. A separate, enclosed but comfortable space it has been designed to keep your dog(s) safe and comfortable during those times when you might want or need to leave your dog alone whilst here on holidays – think, whale watching trips out of Forster, looking for koalas in the local koala corridors, shopping in Forster or heading out deep sea fishing etc.
The Doggy Day Pen consists of a large, undercover, securely meshed area for you to leave your dog in – complete with large enclosed dog kennel, trampoline beds and water bowls. Discreetly tucked at the side of the house it is protected from rain, winds and hot summer sun but provides a wide view of the driveway and paddock.
When needing to use the Doggy Day Pen, we recommend giving your dog a good walk prior to tire them out somewhat and leaving them with a a bone or chewie (BYO) and perhaps, an item of your clothing to keep them occupied and feeling safe.
Your dog may not be that impressed with you leaving them there – but you can go out for a couple of hours knowing they are secure and safe, and that with a good walk on the beach, adventure in the paddock or game in the huge Sea Horse Diamond Beach house yard before you leave, your dogs will probably make good use of their bone or chewie and then curl up and sleep the time away.
The Doggy Day Pen is large enough for 2 -3 dogs (depending on their size).
